35 Pop Culture/Celebrity Mood Scales - How Are You Feeling Today

I use mood check-ins at the beginning of each class to assess how students are feeling. These quick check-ins can make students feel cared for and allow you to see how each student is doing individually - or just start class off with a laugh. My students have begun to look forward to which celebrity will be featured each day! They are a mix of musicians, actors/actresses, and athletes.

How to Use: Put as the first slide in your slide deck for the day. I typically use Nearpod and Peardeck for these. For Peardeck you can use the "draggable" feature, and for Nearpod you can use them as a poll. The highest number is 9 so if you choose to not use the interactive slide applications you can always ask them to show the appropriate number of fingers for how they're feeling.
