This English comprehensible input story set features high frequency verbs in the present tense. This ESL / ELL short story set is accompanied by various reading comprehension check activities. Students will receive lots of comprehensible input with the super 7 verb target structures is /are, has / have, goes, wants, likes, and there is as they read. This English short stories set is perfect for ESL / ELL classes for both young and adult students. Story Preview:

• Story 1: A group of friends is having a hard time spending time together because of all of their individual responsibilities... will they hang out?
• Story 2: A young boy has a soccer game... and an unexpected emergency. All he wants is to score a goal.
• Story 3: A sloth is on a mission to make new friends and buy a new shirt, will he accomplish both of his goals?

Note:

This set is designed to take up 2 - 3 45 minute class periods per story. You can extend or shorten the time period based on your classes and availability. Easy ways to extend your time spent with one story are: reading at different levels (individuals, groups, as a class), adding in more activities, annotating the text, acting out the story, and more!
