3 Analyzing Tone Activities

Students will analyze 5 fiction excerpts, 5 nonfiction excerpts, and 2 poems for tone. The 3 activities included in this bundle will get your students out of their seats and collaborating to support their analysis for tone. Excerpts are from modern and classic texts and represent a wide range of reading levels allowing for easy differentiation and scaffolding.

I did not include a key for these activities. In many cases, it depends on the level of the anlaysis the students are thinking at. I am more interested in the text evidence and explanation they give.
