What educators are saying

This was so much fun! My students love knockout. I always do a practice round so the kids get used to the fast pace.
My students LOVE playing Knockout. Teams have become so competitive and they beg to play! We use this right before the start of our math block or after we've come back from specials/lunch to try to get students back into learning mode.

Description

Give your classroom the gift of FUN this year with these monthly math games! This fast-paced, nail-biter of a 2nd grade math game is paperless, played on the whiteboard, and requires no prep. Best of all? It's engaging and quickly teaches a new skill or reinforces review skills in the classroom.

Knockout has been played in THOUSANDS of classrooms all over the world, and now YOU can join. New to Knockout? Check out a detailed explanation of how the game is played here!

These monthly math games include 4-5 games per month. Different than the subject-based Knockout packs already in my store, the monthly games are:

  1. Aligned with grade-level pacing guides - This will allow you to use the materials in a timely manner to complement your current instruction or serve as review later in the month!
  2. Seasonally-themed - rather than generic designs, each game aligns with seasonal holidays and events.

Do you want to skip this part and get all 12 months of Knockout games? Click here to check out the year bundle!

Outer Space - Counting Money

Fishing - Simple Arrays

Other Ways to Use This:

  • Whole class reward
  • Dismissal incentive
  • Indoor recess
  • Math wrap-up

  • Classroom competitions

If you have any questions, please ask before purchasing! I've included a lot of information in the preview so please check that first. Here are some commonly asked questions:

Q: What formats does this come in?

A: All games come in PowerPoint, Google Slides, and PDF formats so they can be used on all types of devices.

Q: Do you need a Smartboard?

A: You do not need an interactive whiteboard to use these games; you simply need to be able to project the games large enough for your students to use them the way they were intended. Even a blank wall space will do!

Q: How do you play Knockout?

A: Divide your class into 2 teams facing the whiteboard. Each slide features 1 question for each team. The players at the front of each line face off to answer them; the first one to answer correctly stays in the game and goes to the back of their line. The other player is out and sits on the sidelines. Play continues until one team runs out of players. Surprise slides along the way (Knockout, Free Pass, and Pick a Pal) will change the game when you least expect it!

Q: Is this editable?

This is not editable. I offer editable templates in my mega bundle here.

Thanks for visiting my store! I hope you come again soon :)
