Description

Get this great resource and never have to think about your math assessments for the rest of the year!

Click on the green bar labeled Preview below the picture of cover page located at the top of the page to see addition preview pages and great features included in this product!

Assessments for every Common Core standard included. Two tests per standard provided to track students' growth. Use as a pre- and post-test, give all pre-tests at the beginning of the year, or use one test as an additional assessment after intervention. A good mix of open-ended questions are provided to really get at student thinking as well as multiple choice questions to prepare students for standardized testing question formats! Test length varies depending on the complexity of the standard. Some standards simply require more questions to assess a student's mastery and allow the teacher to find the student's gap in understanding. Every assessment ends with a student self-assessment so you can keep tabs on how the student is feeling about their math skills. Thorough answer key to every question provided!

There are three standards that don't follow the two test format. Two standards call for fluency, so in these cases one assessment is provided and students' scores on the same test should increase throughout the year!
OA.B.2: One addition test and one subtraction test is provided. Use the same test throughout the year to track student growth with fluency. Use weekly, monthly, or quarterly. We love to chart our growth on bar graphs in my class!
NBT.A.2: One assessment is provided to track growth throughout the year. Tons of great practice to add and subtract 1, 5, 10 from a given number. Track students growth by how quickly they finish the assessment or impose your own time limits and watch their scores (and confidence) grow throughout the year! This is a great morning work for weeks and months on end for the kids who need it!
NBT.B.8: 4 assessments provided. This is a mental math standard so 4 distinct test are provided, one per quarter. These are meant to be completed with the teacher to verify mental math skills.

Also included is a quarterly standards-based grade book for each math standard. Once you have all the data from the assessments, organization is key!

Measure the length of an object by selecting and using appropriate tools such as rulers, yardsticks, meter sticks, and measuring tapes.
Measure the length of an object twice, using length units of different lengths for the two measurements; describe how the two measurements relate to the size of the unit chosen.
Estimate lengths using units of inches, feet, centimeters, and meters.
Measure to determine how much longer one object is than another, expressing the length difference in terms of a standard length unit.
Use addition and subtraction within 100 to solve word problems involving lengths that are given in the same units, e.g., by using drawings (such as drawings of rulers) and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
