Description

Have you ever felt overwhelmed and just needed a minute to catch your breath? Have you ever wondered how you could keep your class busy while you worked one-on-one with a student or small group? I know I have and that's why I created 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos. They are ZERO prep! No copies! No early finishers! No grading! The best part is, kids LOVE them!

These videos offer a quick, no-prep review that your students are going to love! Each student needs a whiteboard, marker, and eraser. They are a wonderful resource for in-person AND distant learning.

This set includes a variety of skills perfect for second graders. Videos included are-

Acorn Attributes - This video focuses on the number of vertices of 2D shapes. I love that it says the name of so many shapes while reinforcing a key skill. Click here to see a preview of this video.

Oooh! Ooooh! Super Soup - This video reviews words with long u in a variety of spelling patterns. We see a picture with a long u in its name and a cracker tells us it is. We write the word on our boards. When it is time to check it, the picture gets stirred into the alphabet soup and the spoon lifts out the word. This is so cute! Click here to see for yourself!

Scarecrow Comparisons - Crows land in the corn field with signs that show three digit numbers. Your students are to write the numbers and compare them using <, >, or =. When it is time to check their work, the scarecrows arms swing around like crazy and eventually fall into the correct position to form the greater than, less than, or equal to signs. This video is so cute. Click here to see it!

Wormy Addition and Subtraction Story Problems (Two-Digit No Regrouping) - This is one hungry worm! He tells us a math story problem and your students have to solve it! I love that this give them time to think about it and write it before repeating the story problem and walking them through how to set it up. Click here to see an example from this video.

Two-Digit Addition with Regrouping Practice - Second graders always need practice adding and regrouping! This is the video for that! We hear two digit numbers and write them on our boards and add them together. I love the visual of regrouping when we check our work. We see the one carry to the ten and a cute little leaf reminds us to regroup it. Click here to see a quick example from this video!

Falling for Past Tense Verbs - We see fall themed verbs and are prompted to change them into past tense verbs. Click here to see a preview of this video.

ROOT Words - This video is perfect for introducing root words and suffixes. Your students will see words with the ending "-ful" and they are to write the root word. When we check it, a hand picks a root vegetable from the garden revealing the root word. A very helpful worm reads the words to your class. This video also has a nice introduction explaining what root words are. Click here to see it!

Scrambled Sentences - We hear and see words appear out of order. Your students must write them in the correct order to make a sentence. Click here to see a preview of this video!

Reading Comprehension Sentences - In this video, students with see a photograph and read three sentences. They will copy the sentence that tells about the picture on their boards. Click here to see an example of this video.

Pumpkin Patch Place Value - We see trucks with 100 pumpkins in them, baskets with 10 pumpkins in them and single pumpkins. Can your students write how many in all before the time is up? Click here to see this video!

The Odd or Even Apple Tree - We hear the number of apples that are on the tree (10 to 20) and students will write if it is odd or even. I LOVE when it checks it because the visual is awesome! The apples drop into two baskets on either side of the tree by 2s and we hear counting by 2s. These apples are so happy to have a buddy going into the basket! If it is an odd number, we see one lone apple left looking slightly confused because he has no partner to go in a basket with him. Click here to see this video!

Falling for Treats (Counting Coins) - We can't have fall without a yummy apple donut, cake pop, or pumpkin spice latte, but will we have enough money to buy these delicious fall treats? Only your students can help decide! Click here to see a preview of this counting coins video.
