Description

Do you need a way to assess your students understanding of 2D and 3D shapes? If so, this quiz (with 2 Easel options) can help you do that. In the quiz students are asked to identify shapes from their pictures, identify their characteristics, identify real-life examples, and are challenged to identify two shapes from their nets.

There are 2 Easel options for this quiz. One option is a copy of the quiz where students complete it by circling answers and typing into text boxes. The second option is a multiple-choice self-grading Easel option. Choose the option that best suits your needs.

Recognize and draw shapes having specified attributes, such as a given number of angles or a given number of equal faces. Identify triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and cubes.
Understand that shapes in different categories (e.g., rhombuses, rectangles, and others) may share attributes (e.g., having four sides), and that the shared attributes can define a larger category (e.g., quadrilaterals). Recognize rhombuses, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals, and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories.
