Description

Easily incorporate reading and writing into your math block with this interactive emergent reader about 2D shapes! It’s a great way for students to practice identifying and creating with shapes in a meaningful context. Three text options allow you to differentiate the reader to meet all of your students’ needs.

My 2D Shapes Art Show

Students read each page and write the name of the shape. They use the shape to create a picture and then fill in the blank to tell what picture they made using the shape. The predictable, repetitive text builds confidence with beginning readers. There is also a blank option for students to write their own text.

Shapes included:
• Circle
• Square
• Rectangle
• Triangle
• Oval
• Diamond/Rhombus
• Pentagon
• Hexagon
• Octagon
• Parallelogram
• Trapezoid
