This is a word document I have created during the time when I had just graduated college and was seeking a job as a EC-6 generalist teacher. In this document, I have created possible interview questions and typed out the response that I wanted to give to the interviewer. This was a great way to help prep for an upcoming interview (and highly suggest that you do the same on your own computer!). The answers are not to be memorized word for word but allows you to study and review what you would like to mention if the interview question were to be asked. Here is another sample interview question with a sample answer to get a better idea of what this document will contain:

Q: How would you encourage and motivate your students to keep them actively engaged?

A: I advocate the idea of providing students with choices on what they want to do and how they want to present their knowledge. I believe giving students that option to choose, not only engages and motivates them to learn, it also helps me, as the teacher, to reach out to the array of learning styles and student interests. To guide students’ creative thinking, I would use modeling, such as a reading think aloud, or guided practice. It is also important to convey the importance of learning and to help students find personal meaning and value in their work and learning. (Could also mention an example or past experience)
