    Projects Included in this Mega-Bundle:

    1. Zentangle Sketchbook Cover: This project introduces value change to students along with creating basic zentangle designs into a unique background. This is the perfect project to get students interested in your class and is very open ended for every skills level to create an amazing cover for their sketchbooks. (This could also be done on paper instead of a cover).

    2. Animated GIF Drawing Project: This unit teaches contour drawing techniques through the creation of an animated GIF that brings your students artwork to life! It fills about 3 weeks or more of class. The final GIF project is created in Photopea, which is a great way to incorporate technology into an art class.

    3. Mixed Media Principles of Design Project: This project introduces students to 6 different Principles of Design that will be used throughout the semester. Students will create a collage using different materials to represent these Principles.

    4. Macro Colored Pencil Project: This is the perfect project to end the semester with. Students will be taught in depth colored pencil techniques such as layering, burnishing creating color swatches and more. They will take their own macro reference pictures for this project and be taught the basics of composition. Includes worksheets and demo videos for all practice steps!

    5. Cross Hatching Portraits: This project will teach students the history of hatching, along with famous artists such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Albrech Durer, and Rembrandt.

There is a "practice steps" powerpoint included that can simply be shared with your class, and students can follow along at their own pace with the demo videos and steps explained on the slides. There are 3 practice handouts that can easily be printed and passed out for your classes to complete. Includes worksheets and demo videos for all practice steps!

    6. Word Art Drawing Project: This project will continue to push students use of value change in a new/creative way! Students will use text to illustrate an image of a person, place or object that has personal meaning to them. For the background students will used a mixed medium collage style to create unity, texture, movement and frame the focal point. An in-depth practice with text and background design will help students create amazing work!

    7. Cross-contour Drawing Project: This next project will introduce students to basic drawing techniques such as blind contour, cross contour, adding value change, color and more. The final project for this assignment will build students confidence in their drawing skills before they move on to more advanced techniques.

    8. Color Scheme Portraits: This portrait project will introduce students to multiple painting skills through the use of watercolor and acrylic paint, plus adding and refining details with charcoal. Students will be taught different skills for each facial feature, giving them many options and directions to find what techniques work the best for them as they work on their final portrait project. The basics of color schemes will also be taught. Includes in-depth demo videos!

    9. Paper Quilling Painting: This is a very unique project that students are always excited to create. It is perfect for every skill level and is a project unlike anything my students have done in the past. This project introduces foreground, middle ground and background, along with paper quilling shapes and techniques. Includes demo videos!

    10. Quote Design Sketchbook Covers: This project does not have to be completed as a cover, it can easily be adapted to fill a piece of paper instead. Students will learn about the basics of composition and symbolism through 2 practice activities and their final project.

    11. Layered Charcoal Portraits: This lesson is a three step project where will practice creating value change using hatching, crosshatching and blending with black and white charcoal. In this unit students will work through a very in-depth facial feature practice. Students will create 2 portraits using different ways to transfer their reference pictures. This way, as students move on to more advanced projects, they can use the skills that work the best for them. Students will be taught to create accurate and proportionate drawings. There are 25 demo videos included in this lesson that walk students through every step of the project. Students will take these 2 portraits and choose from 6 unique techniques to combine them together.

    12. Impressionist Style Paintings: Through this painting project, students will be introduced to impressionist style painters and compare and contrast painting style, learn about the qualities of impressionism and how to apply it to their own final painting project. Students will also practice impressionist techniques such as value change, wash, impressionist brush stokes, creating movement and more! Students will learn about color theory and mixing hues, tones, tints and shades. Worksheets for every step of practice!

    13. Charcoal Mixed Media Project: This is an in-depth drawing project that focuses on building off students drawing skills from the contour project 1st semester. Students will practice with both black and gray backgrounds to find which color paper they would like to use on their final project. They will also be taught and practice hatching, cross hatching and blending to emphasize the form of their objects. Includes worksheets and demo videos for all practice steps!

    14. Black out Poetry Triptych Paintings: This is one of my favorite projects to teach, as there are so many skills and techniques involved. Students will learn how to create and represent a black out poem through symbolism. They will also be taught many acrylic and oil paint skills to choose what they like the best to apply to their final project. (If you do not use oil paint in your class, this can easily be removed from the lesson). Lastly, students will learn how to create unity in their 3 panels. Includes worksheets and demo videos for all practice steps!

    15. Collage Portrait Project: This project introduces students to using collaged materials to put together a portrait that follows value change and a color scheme. Students will apply what they have learned on previous projects, such as painting and techniques to add layers of detail back into the face on top of their mixed media collage. I am always impressed with the creative and unique ideas and materials students put together for this unit. Includes worksheets and demo videos for all practice steps!

    16. Diptych Scratch Art Projects: This project introduces the basics of scratch art and builds off of the charcoal project through practicing hatching and cross-hatching value scales. Students will be introduced to surrealist artists and ideas-such as Salvidor Dali. Final projects will consist of a diptych style combination of a surrealist scene and an up close detail from the composition. Includes worksheets and demo videos for all practice steps!

    17. Surrealist Style Portraits: This project will introduce students to the basics of surrealism through artists such as Dali and Magritte. An in-depth facial feature study is included for practice. This will allow students to learn more about portraiture and the importance of details. Students will brainstorm ideas on how to create a surrealist style portrait and will be given many different techniques and ideas to help with this on the intro powerpoint slides. Includes worksheets and demo videos for all practice steps!

    18. Composition Collage Project: This is a full 2-3 week intro to rules of composition project. Practice handouts, a powerpoint, a brainstorming form and more will introduce students to what I believe are the most impactful compositional rules to include in an artwork. It teaches students to be resourceful and mix medias together in a creative way, while applying compositional rules to make powerful artwork.

    19. Combining 2 Projects: This is a mini project that will walk students through how to take two projects they have created and combine them together in a creative way to make a new artwork. The powerpoint reviews multiple compositional rules, principles of design, and introduces how to incorporate a foreground, middle ground and background. I have students combine their composition mixed media project and principles of design collage project together for this unit.

    20. Watercolor X-Ray Style Paintings: Students will create a project based off of a transparent "x-ray" style art. This adds a unique twist to watercolor projects taught in most art classes The lesson includes everything you need to teach your students including video demos that walk students through every step of the 5 pdf watercolor worksheets.

    21. Themes Project: This is a project I typically teach in my upper level art classes, however, it can be adjusted to fit any curriculum. Students will create a project based off of an "essential question" using a mixed media or creative background.

This unit has a heavy focus on the brainstorming process and will ask students to come up with their project ideas through multiple formats such as: word maps, answering questions on a form, brainstorming sketches and idea revision in groups.
