KOOSHBALL GAME (students throw a kooshball or tap the circles to reveal hidden questions about their holiday break - students can answer to class or you can have students share with their knee to knee partner or at their tables so that all students have a chance to talk)

ACROSTIC POEM - Complete as a class or have them do it individually

MONTHS OF THE YEAR review and sequence the months - 2 levels - the first slide the students just match by looking at the resource on the left side of the slide, and on the second level they build the months on both the left (in color) and on the right (in black and white) without a resource)

GRAPHING with New Year items - pull out tab has lots of ideas for extending the slide to allow for further learning once the graphing is complete

NOUN BUBBLE MAP - (2 versions with different pictures in the Noun circle) - complete as a class by writing in examples. Look at the pull tab for ways to differentiate/extend this activity
