2023 IB Biology Chapter B3: Organisms Bundle

About: This bundle is for the third chapter (Organisms) in Unit Form and Function of the new 2023 IB Biology curriculum. I use these PPTs as a way to introduce and discuss topic material. I usually let students take notes on their own by printing out 3 slides to a page but these PPTs would pair excellently with guided notes if you wish to make them.

What is included: This bundle includes subchapters: B3.1 Gas Exchange, B3.2 Transport, B3.3 Muscle and Motility, and the TOK chapter. Throughout the PPTs, I have built-in "stopping points" labeled ATL Skills, Data-based Questions, and Review Questions. These PPT slides encourage discussion and further engagement with the materials. I usually have students talk among their peers and write down their thoughts on the ATL skills worksheet (which can be found in the bonus file). I have used the ATL Skills and DBQ as assignments for my students but I think it would make great participation assignments.

Notice: Please note that this is based on the NEW 2023 IB Guidelines! I have NOT taught this chapter in front of my class, yet! Since the new guide and curriculum have just come out this will be the first school year I will have taught this chapter. I hope there are no or very few mistakes, issues, or problems with flow, but please keep that in mind and feel free to edit the presentation to fit your classroom needs.
