1930s- Great Depression: Franklin D. Roosevelt: “The New Deal” Propaganda Lesson Plan
Objective: Identify the various New Deal Programs and define and describe those New Deal programs through the accurate use of Propaganda
Scenario: students are members of FDR’s “brain trust”. They have been placed in charge by Roosevelt to popularize various New Deal Programs.
Task: Choose Two New Deal programs and create two propaganda posters which:
a. Informs the American public about the New Deal Program of their choice
b. Popularizes the New Deal Program in a way that helps change the attitude of the American Public toward favoring the New Deal program of their choice
c. They can pick from any two from the list given
This activity contains the activity, the rubric, New Deal Programs and definitions, Graphic organizers and more
