150 Fantastic Middle School Art Lessons

As an art teacher for many years, I've found that you can never have too many art ideas...especially at the middle school level. This Power-Point presentation contains over 600 pictures of student work and shows 150 tried and true art lessons that I've used over the years. You'll find everything from drawing and painting, to printmaking, paper crafts, ceramics and more. Each page shows one or more examples of a finished product (all photographed examples were done by students, and therefore exhibit a childlike / student handling). Each slide in the presentation lists the materials, steps, preparation, and finishing touches necessary to complete each project. This collection of 150 ideas covers 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, although most of these projects could be used in an upper elementary or high school setting as middle school naturally bridges this gap.
