13 Colonies Research Packet and Activity

This is a project I use with my special education class, but it could be used with any students. I took the state provided textbooks and summarized the information on each of the thirteen colonies into a single page about each colony. The information includes the geography, climate, founders, why the colony was founded, the first settlements of the colony, the hardships the original settlers faced, the economy and occupations of the original settlers, the religion of the colonists and other interesting facts. There is a packet of student questions included that they have to look through the information packet to find. The packet includes an informational page about each of the following colonies: Massachusetts Bay Colony, Rhode Island Colony, New Hampshire Colony, Connecticut Colony, New York Colony, New Jersey Colony, Delaware Colony, Pennsylvania Colony, Maryland Colony, Virginia Colony, North Carolina Colony, South Carolina Colony, and Georgia Colony.
