What educators are saying

This was a great resource to fill in some dead time right before a break. It's all laid out for you, so even you can even hit cruise control riding into Winter or Spring Break. My students enjoyed working on this project and presented their artifacts to the entire class. This was just what I needed.
I used this with a student who was repeating my American History class. Since he had already done the project I had assigned I bought this for him to do instead. He really seemed to enjoy it and did a great job on it. He even said he enjoyed it!

Description

This is a really fun, rigorous, and engaging project that allows students to research a specific person or event from the Colonial Era in American History. The students begin by choosing a topic, researching their selected topic, and identifying artifacts to share with their classmates.

Also within the project, students will take meaningful notes, identify sources, create a bibliography, and create a written response.

The project can be adapted to fit all learners and accommodate each teacher's style and grading system. I think you'll find this project extremely worthwhile and fun for all kids.

The format of the handout was designed so that each teacher can make changes/edits to fit their specific classroom.
