Description

Hello Fellow Teacher,

This PDF includes the following games and activities:

a. 12 mazes & answer keys for each one
b. 6 word scrambles & answer keys for each one

Use these games for a brain break, on a sub day, after state testing, or whenever you want your students to work collaboratively in a friendly competition.

In my class, students have 30 minutes and work in pairs to see who can correctly complete a word scramble first. They use actual dictionaries to figure out (and learn) potential words.

Keep track of the order they finish because sometimes, the first team did not follow the procedure, and you can move on to the next pair to see how they did.

It is fun to watch them work together to learn new words and beat the clock.

How do I check their work? When students say they are done, you will tell them to circle the one letter in each word they changed. After they do that, I take a picture of their paper and email it to my work email. I then project the picture of their paper next to the answer key, and as a class, we check their work.

Start a timer for students as they complete the word searches and mazes. Build community with a friendly competition. Your students will have fun while learning and playing collaboratively.
