Description
Merry Christmas! This season I've been inspired by my location. You see, in 2/3 of my buildings my speech office is located directly next to the music room. Let's skip the Bah Humbug comments about recorders and hearing 'Dreidel, Dreidel' 12 times a day, plus those poor ADHD/ASD kids with short attention spans. I decided if I can't beat them, join them! My articulation students have been re-composing the 12 Days of Christmas song to include their target sounds.
Give each student one blank ‘12 days’ paper.
Provide students with articulation lists for their target sound. I also used my 40,000 Selected Word book. You NEED this if you don't have it! My 'ng' kid is my hardest!
Write lyrics for each 12 parts of the story which include their articulation sound in each part. Use the included original version to help! Illustrate each part.
