This activity can help students have a better understanding of the different interests, politics, pop culture, and people in the 1980's through a variety of experiential activities that will be set up at various stations around the classroom. It is a fun way to touch on a wide variety of lesser known topics that may not warrant a stand alone lesson.
Station A- Resume Building: Upward Mobility in the Private Sector
Station B- Simple Steps to Becoming a Yuppie
Station C- AIDS Memorial Quilt
Station D- New Right Opinion Piece Letter Writing
Station E- Let’s Get Physical (Jazzercise fun)
Station F- “Video Killed the Radio Star” Storyboards
