Product Description

Here are ten more easy to play songs in adapted notation for playing instruments by color. Good for piano, keyboard, xylophones, boomwhackers, desk bells, tone bells and more. See below for how to set up your keyboard. The Keyboard picture that is highlighted in the Thumbnail pictures above the word "preview" will to show you how to set up your keyboard, piano, or other instruments.

Here are the basics: Middle C on the piano is located usually under the product name which is positioned right over the center keys. Personally, if you pick another C note besides middle C..... everything will be fine. No need for worries! Send me any questions. :) As the picture shows, the C note is to the left of the group of 2 black keys and NOT to the left of a group of 3 black keys. The red notes are to be played by Middle/center C note. The orange note happens to be right next door to the right. Then yellow, green, light blue etc all the way up to the other red higher C. (In the music, the higher C note has an arrow.)

It can also be used to play COOPERATIVE songs in pitched instrument that can be separated (think tone bells etc) by giving each child their own bell and having them play their color bell at the correct time. Encourage children to make their OWN songs or to play each other's compositions! Can you add words?? This system is meant to simply elicit an interest in making music. I may come up with a system that helps kids develop more appropriate hand position and finger dexterity later on. OTs, parents, teachers, music substitute teachers, music therapists, and other people who work with kids will hopefully find this activity fun and successful.
