Teach your students grammar in context! These notes introduce students to the preterite tense and provide a verb chart, practice, and reading with follow-up activities for -AR verbs only. The learning objective is for students to better understand the meaning of -ar verbs when they are conjugated in the preterite tense. These materials do not introduce -ER or -IR preterite verb endings, nor do they include practice drill-style activities to help students memorize the -AR verb endings.
Two versions of the notes are included: one set with traditional verb endings, and one set with neutral pronouns included.
