What educators are saying

My students loved this resource. I used it in our large group lessons. I also used it as a review in small reading group rotations. The students were actively engaged in the lessons and independent work time.
Put anything into pamphlet form and students love it! Great poems, great practice- with elements of poetry, figurative language, and reading comprehension!

In each Poetry Pamphlet resource, there are 10 original seasonal themed poems. Each poem is formatted into a "poem pamphlet".

For each pamphlet, there is a space for…

    • important vocabulary (rhyme, alliteration, repetition, rhythm)
    • an original poem
    • comprehension questions (written response)
    • color coding instructions
    • a place where students will draw their favorite part of the poem.

    ___________________________________________________________

    ALSO included

    • Half-page poem posters (the same 10 poems) to be used at a center, during, small group, or even display them using a Smartboard/Document Camera.

    • Black and White versions of the half-page poem posters are also included to be glued into interactive journals for discussions and response.

    • Interactive Journal pieces for student comprehension. Have students glue the half-page poem posters into their interactive journals. They can color code parts of the poem {per your instructions} and answer the comprehension questions given using the journal pieces provided.
