This three week book unit encourages children to eat more vegetables, and thus it relates to nutrition education. It involves language arts skills with rhythm and rhyme, vocabulary, and pattern. A Trip to the Zoo
This is a book about a class trip to the zoo. It can be completed by printing pictures to match with the page for lower functioning children, or by drawing for those who are able. It has fill in the blank sections to make it a bit more interactive. This was good for my students to get an idea of what we would be doing at the zoo before going and to stress the importance of listening to staff and following directions in order to have fun.
