Penny Boat: Beginning of Year Goal Setting Interactive
This is a fun interactive activity to use at the beginning of the year! Essentially, students build boats out of a pre-cut size of foil. Then, they see how many pennies this boat can handle before it sinks! The idea is to discuss afterward how these are similar to preparing and succeeding in life, including planning, collaborating, and not "sinking" when other obstacles are placed in your way.
