St. Patrick's Day Activity - Pot of Sight Words
St. Patrick's Day: Mix your language arts and fine arts together for the perfect lesson. Teach or review your grade-level sight words with this fun language arts/fine art lesson. Students trace (or write) their sight words on gold "coins" and then fill up a pot of gold with these coins. These Kindergarten phonics & spelling lessons and assessments were made in collaboration with the wonderful Kindergarten teachers on Heather's campus. They needed a phonics product that was HMH Journeys & TEKS aligned and had the continuous review of Saxon Phonics. Originally, this curriculum was made in D'Nealian handwriting as that is their preferred handwriting style. Squish Games: St. Patrick's Day Theme

March Magic E Spinners
This resource gives your students a fun, hands-on way to spin and read CVC words as well as read and write split digraph (magic e) words. Included are five color and five black and white March Magic E mats and a recording sheet. Simply print and laminate the mats and print and copy the recording sheets. In my classroom, this is initially introduced in small, teacher led groups. When students are ready, it becomes an independent center.
