Three Billy Goats Gruff Simple Subtraction Smart Board
I used this Smart Board presentation when teaching my reception class take-away.
It asks them simple questions such as: The 3 billy goats gruff tried to cross the bridge. But the troll took 1 of them!
How many are left?
The questions only go up to 5, but this is a editable resource. Therefore you could add more sums or make them harder if you wish.
It is easy for the children to come up to your board and drag to move 1 of the goats to under the bridge where the troll is waiting.

Thinking time (loads of cognitive reasoning slides)
I created 'Thinking Time' last year and now all the classes in my school are using it. There are over 100 slides. This is a brilliant tool to have in the class room. It can be used as an exciting early morning work, a time filler on any given day or as a way of really getting the kids into a thinking state of mind. There are slides appropriate to all ages and different cihldren will get different things from the activities. I use this every single day that I'm teaching and the children LOVE

Feelings Scenarios Whack a Mole! Throw a ball at your smartboard!
How cool!? Throwing a koosh ball at the smartboard! My kids LOVE it! When the different scenarios came up I had kids share ideas (or made a game of it, having them write down answers as a group) about each situation. They stated the way it would make them feel and different options about how to handle it. Because this lesson is centered around emotions, there may be many different ideas, feelings, and answers. Great for the first week of school!
