Visual steps to creating an origami bird. The pages of the SMART Notebook are linked so you can go step by step with your students to create an origami bird. The fold lines and folded pieces are clearly shown so that your and your students can make sure they are doing the right things. I used this when teaching 6th grade social studies, as well as in math when teaching geometric shapes.
A fun art activity to accompany any unit on China.
In this Smart Board presentation, the students learn about Chinese lanterns and the lantern festival during the Chinese New Year celebration.
Then, the students create their own lanterns.
I use Ellen McHenry's lesson: http://ellenjmchenry.com/chinese-paper-lantern-project/ for the template.
Presentation shows step by step pictures to help them assemble
This Smartboard presentation gives a brief background of Hiroshima, and what the 1000 paper cranes are about. Then it has a slide with photos to give a visual of what a crane looks like, what a paper crane looks like, and the statue of Sadako. To finish this Smartboard lesson, I have created seven questions to assess students.

Included are sequencing the story, describing the monster, comprehension questions, synonyms, definitions, and writing activity.
