There is a student with severe behavioral issues on my caseload who also requires visuals. This version of a check-in/check-out sheet really works for him because he can earn points even if he messes up a little bit, and he can see what comes next in his day. They are easy to write on if changes to the schedule happen. Suggestion: Laminate to use day to day with a dry-erase marker.

Time: digital and written form flashcards (hour and half-hour times)

I created these flashcards to support assessment during a pass-the-parcel style game using a clock cushion. The cards were placed face down in the middle of the circle, the children passed the clock around...when it was their turn they chose a card from the middle and were required to demonstrate the given time in analogue form on the clock. The children I worked with LOVED this approach!

This is a simple, but great survey that helps a teacher to understand the families' literacy backgrounds as well as the materials and resources that are readily available for the children to read at home. This will help teachers gain the knowledge to better support their students' literacy experiences and potentially help supplement what they are not receiving in the home.

For the "bad choices" there are cartoon photos showing what-not-to-do. Putting in photos of your actual student allows them to take on the role of making good choices. This provides for a more positive learning experience. If you do not want to put in pictures of your actual student, I have a similar sto
