Henna Designed Monochromatic / Value Paintings-FLIPCHART
This is a two part lesson. The first part looks at the culture/traditions behind henna designs. Students then design their own henna design on their traced hand. Classroom Helpers Job Chart - Promethean ActivInspire File

This lesson is part of my community helpers unit. On each page there is a question such as where do you go to pray? a visual cue like a woman praying, and 3 choices of locations to choose from. When the child selects the correct answer it says the models the words for the location.

This is an interactive lesson that I use once I have covered basic community helpers and what they use. In this activity is asks a question like "what do firemen drive to a fire?" It provides a visual cue like a picture of a fireman, and then choices in a field of 3. When the child selects the correct choice it models that language like "a firetruck".

Pirate Picker Random Student Name Selector Promethean Flipchart Lesson
This random student pirate picker is great for those who are teaching a thematic unit on pirates, or for those who just want to add fun and fascination to their day by picking their students the pirate way!

All about community helpers including doctors and firefighters
This is an introductory lesson to community helpers. There is a song about helpers and pictures of 11 different helpers and a brief description of what they do. Then the last section is a question format such as "who helps put out fires" and your children should select the correct picture (with a reinforcing sound for choosing correctly).

This is one of 2 introductory lessons into sorting and categorization. Essentially children look at a field of 4 pictures and choose the one that is different and doesn't belong. When they select the appropriate picture it plays a reinforcing sound. The pictures begin very basic and get more complex as you go into the chart.

What goes together (a basic sorting and categorizing activity)
This is the second part to my introduction about things that go together like socks and shoes, combs and brushes, etc. In this activity students will put 2 items that go together in its appropriate box. The slides initially start of with 1 of the items already in a box so that student select what goes with it, but it eventually moves to empty boxes that children sort by which things go together.

Letter Formation using Lines and Curves ActivInspire Flipchart
In this flipchart, students will use different lines/curves to form upper case letters. There are different degrees of difficulty. It starts with the letter to drag the pieces over, then fill in the missing letters with no supports (two pages of this) then creating all of the letters with no supports.
