Christmas/Holiday Brainstorm Game
This is a quick game to play during the holiday season that helps increase students' brainstorming skills.
Played like Scattegories, divide the students into groups. Have each group number a piece of paper or dry erase board from 1 to 12. One person in each group should serve as the recorder.
Press the letter tile, and groups must come up with a word or phrase (must be a noun) that starts with that letter. For example, if the letter is "s," they could have Silent Night for the song and star

Pin the Nose on the Snowman game
This is a fun Christmas/winter game that my kids just love! It is a SMART Notebook file that contains 2 different snowmen. One is just a face (easier version) and the other is a full snowman (harder version). The students underhand toss a beanbag, koosh ball, or whatever at the SMART board to see who can get the nose on the snowman closest to where it should be.

Christmas Owl Attendance Keeper for Smartboard
This is an owl themed interactive attendance keeper for Smartboard Notebook. The names are located in the tree branches, and the owls are perched above the names. The student taps their owl, and the owl flies away making either a hooting sound or flapping wings sound. My favorite part about this file is that there is a song, "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," that plays in the background (when clicked.) Hope your kids enjoy this as much as mine do!!

I have used this Christmas tree for years during the weeks before winter break to help motivate the students to be prepared and be respectful and always have great results.
For this "game" there is a list of goals. The slide currently has:
- all assignments in
- all prepared for class
- quiet when needed
- respectful students
- transition quickly
but you can modify it to meet the needs of your class.
For each class session, at the end we evaluate and for each goal met, the symbol is dragged
