Differentiated Function Tables, Color-Coded, Modified for Special Ed

These worksheets are modified from the middle school math curriculum. They are great for special education students who require an alternate or modified curriculum. There are four pages, all with the same function table. Differentiating will be easy, because all papers look similar. The x and y numbers are color-coded for students to see what the functions are. Two of the pages have hints on them, with the equation written in each row; the other two do not. Two pages have cut and paste numbers,

Water Filter Experiment- packet

This experiment is great for understanding water filtration. We use 2 liter bottles with the bottom cut off. Students preplan in their groups what materials to use and how to place them in the upsidedown 2 liter. Once the prepare their "filtration system", I pour dirty water in and we collect it (glass baby food jars work great because you can see inside) out of the small opening at the bottom. Students then evaluate what they could improve, empty the 2 liter and try again. We compare all of the

It is ready to have printed out and laminated. It can also be easily resized if it is too large for your needs.

If students are struggling I like to project the cards to the class and work on them as a whole group. ENJOY!

Order of Operations Cheat Sheet

While teaching my students in the resource setting, Order of Operations, I created this cheat sheet on the fly. They used it to help them remember the order. I color coded only the first letter and then highlighted it in the example next to it with the same color. I have included two pages, one with the full word one color and then the next with only the first letter color. The example on both is in the matching color. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!
