The Mouse and the Motorcycle Vocabulary Visuals (for ELLs) Ch. 1-2
This is a Power Point vocabulary visual preview for Chapters 1 and 2 of the book The Mouse and the Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary. I made this to provide visual and linguistic vocabulary support for English Language Learners in my classroom. I preview it before reading the book to increase comprehensible input (a SIOP strategy). For all words, I provide two different visuals and a simple, student-friendly definition so that ELLs don't latch onto the wrong meaning.

This morphology choice board is an AMAZING resource that can be used for weekly morphology homework for students grades 3 and up! Students must choose 4 of the 6 activities, completing one activity Monday through Thursday and submitting them all on Friday. This choice board can be used as the cover sheet. Circulate the Circulatory System with Ozobots
Using the Ozobot robots, students can program the robot using color codes to circulate the circulatory sytem. We used this when we study CIR vocabulary words. Some of their words include circulatory, circulate, and circuit. Print it on LEGAL SIZE paper. The lighter outline of the body allows the Ozobot to move over the page without reading the body outline as part of the code.
