Do you ever want your students to KEEP READING instead of stopping when they reach the "1 minute mark" when practicing oral reading fluency for DIBELS benchmarks? BUT do you still want to know if they are reading at an acceptable rate? This calculator will help you know how long it should take your 1st - 5th graders to read an ENTIRE passage and still meet the DIBELS words per minute goal. Here is the reading log solution you've been looking for! Fully editable, students will use this digital resource to track books they've completed throughout the school year. This log also allows for students to keep track of date completed, reading level, genre, and pages read. Great to use as a talking point for parent teacher conferences. This digital log is a fantastic tool to help students track personal growth and set reading goals throughout the year. Happy Reading!

Guided Reading Schedule Chart

I use this schedule to keep my students and I on the same page of which groups meet when. I print out a copy for my guided reading binder and I post a larger print out of it in Guided Reading corner. Enjoy having a consistent schedule and clear expectations shared throughout your classroom. The spreadsheet is easily editable to adapt to the times or guided reading group names that you use in your class.

Rubric for Nonfiction Writing

This is a rubric I created for our creative nonfiction unit in writing. The students score themselves 0-2 on punctuation, grammar, figurative language, & paragraph usage. It's a great tool for them to go back and edit their rough drafts before they publish to a final piece. The teacher fills one out and you can compare results if you'd like. It's also a great sheet for data or if you discuss grades with parents.
