This is a rigorous writing rubric for all elementary school students. This rubric is developed based on the 6 Traits of Writing. My students' writing has improved TREMENDOUSLY as they grade themselves on the rubric and also peer-assess each other on the peer-assess rubric. When students write, I always make sure they are keeping these 6 traits in mind. When students know that they will need to grade themselves on all 6 traits, they are more mindful of including these 6 traits of excellent writin
