This is a fun way to take attendance in the morning and leave the students responsible for it. Basically, they just find their name on a popcorn kernel and drag it into the Popcorn Bucket. Christmas Trivia SmartBoard Activity
This is a very fun game to play on the SmartBoard. It is adaptable for any number of participants. You can play the game using the Smart Response clickers but they are not required. The game designed to use a koosh ball or bean bag to throw at the dancing reindeer to bring up a question. If you don't want to use this techniques students can touch the reindeer and the question will open.

SmartBoard Attendance- Movie Tickets
My students LOVE this one! To take attendance in the morning, all they have to do is hand their "movie ticket" to the usher and it's all set! This is an animated attendance board which makes it all the more exciting. Any tickets that are still left are considered absent students. A great classroom management tools. Christmas/Holiday Brainstorm Game
This is a quick game to play during the holiday season that helps increase students' brainstorming skills.
Played like Scattegories, divide the students into groups. Have each group number a piece of paper or dry erase board from 1 to 12. One person in each group should serve as the recorder.
Press the letter tile, and groups must come up with a word or phrase (must be a noun) that starts with that letter. For example, if the letter is "s," they could have Silent Night for the song and star

Dog Attendance/ Lunch Count Smart Board
Easy and fun way to complete attendance and lunch count in the morning. The students find their dog and move it to the "School Lunch" doghouse or the "Brought Lunch" doghouse. Names are easily changed and dogs can be added or deleted for use year after year. To change the names on the dogs follow these steps:
1. Click on the dog
2. Hit Ctrl-G to ungroup the name and the dog
3. Click on the name and type the new name
4. Hit Ctrl- G to regroup the name and dog so that they move together
