Research Based Halloween & Day of the Dead Project
I have been incorporating this into my lessons for several years now and the kids absolutely LOVE this project! Students compare and contrast Halloween and the Day of the Dead, trace the origins and how each spread. This information is then presented through various methods! Upon completion of their project, many students "don" their boards with festive decorations and bring in festive treats. The best part of this is that many Common Core standards addressed!

The provided project deals with the Middle Ages or Medieval Europe. It asks students to select a topic that will most likely be explored by educating students on the Middle Ages and create a presentation as well as an activity for their peers to complete. Included in this document is the time frame for the project, the procedure for implementing the project, as well as a project guide and rubric.
