ASL CCS: Counting 1 - 100 ( Numbers, Words, Images ) for Students w/ Deafness
Deaf and non-verbal students are given ASL numbers, words and images regarding "Counting 1 - 100" based on common core standards.Students who are deaf versus hearing-impaired require accommodations determined by three factors: the degree of hearing loss, the age at onset, and the type of language or communication system they use. They both may use a variety of communication methods including lip reading, cued speech, signed English and/or American Sign Language. Students Hard of Hearing may need

Students will choose a worthwhile issue, create a rationale, develop a narrative, lead a lesson/debate on the topic as well as complete a research paper and reflection. This unit outline was designed as a 4-6 week project for a Writing Workshop class.
