Community Helper Research Choice Board: Jobs Occupations Professions
Are you doing a unit on Community Helpers? How about learning about different professions? I have put together a research choice board for students to use when learning about different professions. There are videos, gifs, links to Epic Book titles, and various other websites to help students research nine potential careers. You'll love this and so will your students! If students can't read well, be sure to use the Chrome Extension called Read&Write when using some of the research links.

Fantasy Vacation Internet Research Project
This lesson plan was designed to increase the computer literacy and internet research skills of 7th and 8th grade English Language Learners with very little experience with computers. Students use the internet to schedule a flight, hotel, transportation and visits to attractions within a two-week time span. Students must carefully budget their expenses. Students use power point to organize their information and photos. The assignment sheet and grading rubric are within the Notebook file.
