Let's Build a Bridge!
Aligned with the Common Core State Standards this lesson plan is the first in a series of lessons I have created. The unit that it coincides with is titled "Bridging the Gap Through Friendship" which I've created based on the Common Core Curriculum Maps' second grade unit entitled "Building Bridges with Unlikely Friends". Students will learn about bridges and then participate in a bridge building activity.

Animal Research Project
This project gives students an opportunity to stretch their basic research skills. It works well as an opening project, giving you the opportunity to see what students can do. The challenge questions give students the chance to show their critical thinking skills by analyzing their animal further. Students will also be required to create a presentation for the class, giving them the opportunity to teach others what they have learned.
