This reading launch was adapted from Lucy Caulkins. I have created slides that coincide with many of her ideas. In this launch, you can read Stone Fox to practice some of the skills, but you can really adapt it to fit any read aloud you love. Skills included are getting to know yourself as a reader, choosing a just right book, using fix up strategies, partner talk, and making reading resolutions.
