This is a fun way for students to practice reading rhythm patterns, and to reinforce the concept of four-beat patterns. Show on the smart board and have the whole class play in teams, or have smaller groups of students play as a music centers game. This game is played just like a real Connect Four game, as students drag and drop colored chips into spaces on a board. Once a player or team gets four in a row, they have to read the rhythm pattern correctly for it to count as a win!
