In this project, students do a typical research report on a person who contributed to black history. The catch is, there are several people who are off limits for picking. Staff Note Names practice sheet with list of usable words
Words on staff can be a test or work sheet. I have included a list of words that can be used. But first a practice game. I write a word on the board, and the students have to place a bean bag on the "staff" on my giant rug. I divided the staff into 2 sections with a bamboo pole, and make 2 teams. I have a team captain who hands the beans bags out, when a bag is placed on the correct line or space, that student sits down and the next student goes up for the next letter, etc.
