Football scores can be complex math problems to solve. I have found that this lesson was very motivating for students in the 4th through 8th grades or even higher grades! Football scores and ball placement is discussed in these problems. The vocabulary used in a football game does need to be defined by non-fans, so a short list of some of the vocabulary is included along with a key! This is a two-page worksheet, with the key and vocabulary included.

Using the puzzle pieces students arrange the pieces in the correct order to get the answer on the Problem Card. This is a great manipulative to use as practice or reteach. Easily differentiate by providing part of the expression and allow students to fill in the rest or for your advanced students allow them to find the entire problem.

What I am trying to do with this channel is provide a quick guide to middle school students (eventually HS and elementary) on how to do pre-algebra math problems. I feel that the videos are very straight forward and provide helpful tips and resources to aid in homework, test/quiz help, and summer math packets. Please provide feedback as it will guide me as I begin to grow the channel. Also, please subscribe, like, and share so the channel will possibly help other students (and/or parents).
