Fact Family - Educational Parody for teaching Addition/Subtraction Fact Families
This song was written to reinforce fact families. I refer to the addition problems as the brother and sister, and the subtraction problems as the mother and father.
"Everybody say hi to the brother,

This was originally the song Telephone by Lady Gaga, but for years I've been using the tune to sing the 3's to my kids. Here's a free version of it for you to use in your classroom! I don't think Gaga use ukulele and guitar on her version, but I did.

Ever been plagued by a catchy melody you can't get out of your head? Who hasn't?! Songs are a great way of remembering things-- such as critical math facts.
You know that learning the doubles is key to mastering addition facts-- and multiplication facts. Multiplying by two is the same as doubling the other factor. So learning these facts is a two-for-one proposition.
