Research Paper in an Alternate Media
This year we wrote our research papers in a different form. We made a "dossier." Using Microsoft Publisher or a similar software, we wrote the same paper but it looked different. I found that by allowing them the use of graphics, design, illustration and color, I had better papers and a higher number of students turned in the paper.

Researching the Decades 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's
Similar to my earlier project on researching the decades, this project focuses on the latter part of the 20th century. This project includes a formal research paper and a group presentation. My students tend to jump into this project with enthusiasm because they can choose something in which they are interested.

All About Caribou Book Template
This "All About Caribou" book template was used to make informational books on caribou in my first grade classroom. The students had to write five different facts they learned about caribou and the last page was for their closing. You could edit this document for any type of writing.
