Growth Mindset Math-Algebra
Growth Mindset is a way of thinking that encourages perseverance, self-confidence, and skill. It is a process by which we focus on the journey and not on the destination. A Fixed Mindset, on the other hand, is a way of looking at yourself with ‘fixed ‘ traits. You may believe that inborn talent means success.
This thinking prevents you (and your brain muscle) from growing (and learning) because your negative thoughts are blocking the brain from absorbing new information.

Absolute Value Inequalities and Equations
Students in my algebra class have a very difficult time understanding absolute value inequalities and equations with regard to graphing. I have developed a presentation that flows from one slide to the next with each step. It seems to have worked, as students have made tremendous strides in understanding.
