Zones of Regulation Morning Check-in
With social distancing procedures, I've had to rethink how we will do morning check-ins. Instead of using Popsicle sticks (that every student touches), I will put this on the front of students' desks. They will place their "I FEEL" magnet on the zone they are.

Getting to Know You With M and M's
Use this game-board like activity to sort out a mini package of M and M's. As you sort the colors from your package you ask a friend a question from the colored circle that corresponds with that color of M and M. You can do this individually with a student, a group, or with a class. What a fun way to get to know someone! You can also edit the questions to make them your own. Make them based on retelling a story or math!

I made this document for my open house, which is virtual this year. I wanted all information on one screen, so I do not have to change between tabs. In the future, I plan on tweaking it for all in person and printing it out for parents to grab during open house.

Editable All About Me
This is an editable download in Microsoft Publisher. I used the font Better Together for the headers.
I hand this out on the first day of school, and give the kiddos some class time to fill it out. I allow them to sit by whoever they want while they work on it, and so it works in two ways - I get to learn more about them, and also get to see who they sit by so I can make a seating chart that keeps chatty friends from each other since I have kids I don't know.
