Fifteen years of teaching in California public schools, both at the middle and high school level.

I emphasize the writing process through revisions, writing conferences, and peer review.

I have been fortunate enough to have been twice recognized as Teacher of the Year, an honor bestowed by the students at my high school.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications with a focus in Journalism. I earned my teaching credential in secondary English education from U.C. Berkeley.

I have written some fiction and freelance news, and I have engaged in copy editing and proofreading on other authors' manuscripts.
