TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching in a self-contained primary/intermediate special education classroom for 11 years. I teach in a very diverse classroom with a multitude of disabilities that range from autism, downs, emotional disturbance, OHI, ID, to SLD students. I also taught in a resource room for two years and prior to obtaining my teaching degree, I was an aide in a resource room for five years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm all about a positive learning environment and positive reinforcement. I avoid negative consequences and recognize the best. I believe classroom management, organization, rapport, and honesty are key to running an effective classroom. I use ABA in my classroom and I like to think of my classroom as family and my students feel the same way.
