TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching for the past ten years in various positions. I had the amazing opportunity to teach English to Japanese kindergartners for two years in Sendai, Japan. I've taught preschool, was the director for a before and after school program, taught 3rd grade for three years, Transitional Kindergarten (TK), and now I'm back to my favorite grade - KINDERGARTEN!!

MY TEACHING STYLE

One of the biggest aspects of my teaching style is that I feel it is so important to teach children HOW to think and HOW to learn. I love building relationships with my students and building a community within my classroom.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I studied Elementary Education at Central Washington University with a minor in math. I taught in Japan for two years before moving to Southern California and starting my masters degree. I graduated with my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Northcentral University! Besides all of that higher education, I learn so much from my colleagues and my students :)

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I live in sunny southern California with my husband and our two children.
